discipleship-ORIENTED. CLASSICALLY ROOTED.
St. Abraham's is a classical Christian academy serving students from Transitional Kindergarten to 12th grade and dedicated to a discipleship-oriented education. We seek to teach our students to think of themselves as disciples, each equipped with unique gifts. As they discover these talents, we encourage them to see themselves as more than just another member of the workforce.
Our values instill that education is not just about getting into college or landing a job, but the pursuit of virtue in their souls—to cultivate Christ-likeness in all areas. We equip them with the mindset of impacting culture with the power of God. This work is both spiritual and academic, and a solid classical Christian education covers both.
We are located in Aptos, California. Our students come from all over Santa Cruz County and even from Monterey and Santa Clara Counties. Our vision is to be the academy of Christian discipleship and classical learning for the Monterey Bay region.
Our Christian faith inspires us to pursue truth and goodness and to love and disciple our students as individuals created in God’s image.

From the Headmaster
Devin O’Donnell was born and raised on the foggy coasts of central California. He quickly found his love for art, literature, and bookish things strangely matched by his love for surfing, oceanic landscapes, and English Premier League soccer. He holds a Masters in the Humanities, with an emphasis in Literature. He cut his pedagogical teeth teaching American Literature, Latin, and a smattering of History.
He stepped into administration in 2013 as an Upper School Head and is now the Headmaster of St. Abraham's Classical Christian Academy. He has served as Research Editor for the Bibliotheca project, published a graduate thesis on Flannery O'Connor, and has a forthcoming book with Classical Academic Press. He also writes for the CiRCE institute. He and his lovely wife have four adventurous children who love stories, the ocean, and good feasts.
